Stevenson student presents paper at Harvard

May 02, 2011

Spencer Glasgow

Spencer Glasgow, a third-year Stevenson student, was selected along with two other UC Santa Cruz students to present papers at the ninth annual Harvard Undergraduate Linguistics Colloquium on April 9th and 10th, 2011.  Spencer’s research analyzes constructions in the English language wherein verbs occur outside of normal and basic distribution.  His performance demonstrates the strong emphasis on academic research and creativity that Stevenson College instills in its students.  In Spencer's words, “My presenting this paper is another demonstration of the efficacy and fundamental importance of the education offered here.”
