Commencement vs. Graduating
REMEMBER
Participating in the Commencement Ceremony does NOT mean that you have graduated
The Stevenson Commencement Ceremony and Graduation are two separate things. Graduation is the act of conferring an academic degree (receiving your degree or diploma) whereas Commencement is a ceremony. Apply to graduate (to receive the official University Diploma) with the Registrar's Office via your Student Portal. Apply for the quarter in which you will be finishing your graduation requirements. Do NOT apply for spring graduation if you will be finishing your requirements in summer or fall. For deadlines click here.
