Stevenson's Commencement Ceremony will be held on Sunday June 18, 2017 at 1:00pm.
Commencement vs. Graduating
The Stevenson commencement ceremony and graduation are two separate things. Graduation is the act of conferring an academic degree (receiving your degree or diploma) whereas commencement is a ceremony. Apply to graduate (to receive the official University Diploma) with the Registrar’s Office via your Student Portal. Apply for the quarter in which you will be finishing your graduation requirements. Do NOT apply for Spring graduation if you will be finishing your requirements in Summer or Fall.
Registration will open in Winter 2017.
Commencement Ceremony begins promptly at 1:00 PM and should last approximately 90 minutes. Guests, please do not arrive at the East Field before Noon as there is a ceremony prior to ours. You will NOT be allowed on the field if you arrive before 12:00 PM.
Parking is by PERMIT ONLY - each graduate is issued TWO. You may be turned away if you do not have a parking pass.
Please note that UCSC has a “no pet” policy that is strictly enforced. Only animals utilized for disability accommodation as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act are allowed. If you enter campus with a pet, you will be asked to leave. There are several “pet hotels” in Santa Cruz County equipped to board your pets; please check local listings. Thank you!
We ask that you and your family do not bring drones to the commencement ceremony.
