Stevenson Move Out June 2014

Stevenson end of year move out for 2013-14

Move Out Deadline is Friday, June 13 at NOON    

 

Current Stevenson residents must check out of their room in the Stevenson residence halls by noon on Friday, June 13. To properly check out you must meet with your RA in advance to arrange for your check out with them. 

Stevenson Check Out To Do List:

1.  Attend Your House Check Out Meeting Hosted by the RAs.

See your RA for date, time and location of meeting happening soon.

2.  Sign Up with your RA for a Check Out Option

        

Standard Check Out: Sign up with your RA for a Check Out Appointment. Availability subject to RA schedule. Sign up at House or Apartment Area Meeting or with RA by appointment.

Thursday PM Group Check Out: Thursday, June 12 from 12 pm to 4 pm.  Meet RAs in the Upper or Lower Quad to request a Check Out – RA will go with you to your room to check you out.

Friday AM Group Check Out: Friday, June 13 from 9 am to 12 pm.  Meet RAs in the Upper or Lower Quad to request a Check Out – RA will go with you to your room to check you out. 

Express Check Out: If leaving late night or early morning.  Schedule with your RA in advance to leave at an unusual hour. Drop off keys in supplied key check out envelope at Cowell Mail Room.

Weekend Exceptions: Request an extension of your Housing Contract to move out after 12 pm on Fri. 6/13 ONLY if you are graduating, working graduation, working for a UCSC employer, or moving into summer Transitional Housing at Colleges 9/ 10. Apply for your exception online by Mon., June 9 at www.studenthousing.ucsc.edu. Drop off keys in supplied key check out envelope in the Cowell Mail Room. 

 

3.  Clean Your Room & Apartment Common Areas - Avoid Charges

  • Residential spaces must be left in clean condition, with furniture in its original configuration.
  • Apartment common areas should be cleaned by agreement with your housemates. 
  • Make sure that all of your belongings are removed from your room and that your room/apartment is clean before your Check Out appointment.
  • Do not leave any trash, recyclables or non-university furniture in your room please.
  • Cleaning and repair charges will be divided among all residents unless a resident takes responsibility for a specific damage or issue. 

4.  Recycle -- E-waste -- Donate!

Take trash, recyclables, and items to donate to a Recycling Center near you at your college. 

  • Goodwill Donation Bins:  Household items; label electronic items as working or not; no large furniture, please.
  • Second Harvest:  Non-perishable, sealed food packages
  • SC Homeless Services Center:  New or partially consumed toiletries and laundry soap
  • E-Waste:  Anything with a cord or circuit board that does not work; NO refrigerators please.
