What makes Stevenson different from the other colleges at UCSC?
Its location, I love being able to walk a couple of feet and having an amazing view of the ocean. It is also close to many different parts of campus, such as the bookstore, the gym and the dining hall.

How are Stevenson students different from other students at UCSC?
Stevenson students have an open mind about many different issues on campus. I have also noticed that when problems arise, Stevenson students do not hesitate to take action, this can be seen through the different organizations that have been started by students at Stevenson College.

Why did you choose Stevenson College? or, Why do you think prospective students might want to choose Stevenson?
Personally, I chose Stevenson College because of its core course description. It was an interesting topic to me and I wanted to learn more about myself as a member of society.

What is the most important thing you learned in the Core Course at Stevenson College?
The most important thing that I got from taking the Core Course at Stevenson was learning about the different roles that people play to make a society and the different ways that society helps shape who we are. I enjoyed reading about important people that have made a difference in society, it was very inspiring.

What activities at Stevenson College or UCSC are you involved in? How did you get involved in this activity and what do you think you've gained from the experience?
I am a residential adviser at Stevenson College and I am involved in different multicultural activities throughout campus. I became involved in the different activities throughout campus my second year here at UCSC and these organizations helped me want to expand my leadership skills and that is why I decided to apply for the RA position. The RA position has been a wonderful motivation and has provided me with many leadership skills that I will use for many different aspects of my life.

Can you tell us about a particularly positive, memorable or special experience you've had with a Stevenson community member (faculty member, staff member, or student)?
I have had many conversations with different Stevenson community members including students and faculty that have encouraged me and been very motivating.

What is it like to live at Stevenson? or, How would you describe living at Stevenson to prospective students?
Living in Stevenson is very motivational, not only are the people very nice and understanding, but I enjoy the view as well, it also very convenient to live in Stevenson because it is close to many different places on campus and a lot of the big lecture halls are also a short walking distance from the college.
