John Halverson Scholarship
John L. Halverson (deceased 1998) was a founding faculty member of Stevenson College and a Professor of literature for 27 years at the University of California, Santa Cruz. The scholarship is awarded to a financial aid recipient at Stevenson College. Preference will be given to students who can demonstrate interest in and experience with the African American Community. It will be made available to the student for a maximum of four years, with option to extend to a fifth year, dependent upon demonstrated academic progress. Awarded Fall Quarter each academic year.
Michele Guard Memorial Scholarship
The Michele Guard Memorial Scholarship was established by Michele Guard’s mother, Nancy Guard-Evans, in memory of her daughter. Mrs. Guard-Evans has since generously provided a scholarship for Stevenson students who fulfill the following requirements: with demonstrated financial need, incoming fresh person, child of single parent, and must be in good academic standing. Awarded Fall Quarter each academic year.

Matthew Graviano Memorial Scholarship
The Matthew Graviano Scholarship was established by the Graviano family in honor of their son, Matthew. To be eligible, student must be a Stevenson junior or senior, majoring in psychology and/or legal studies. Awarded Fall Quarter each academic year.
Student Research Project Funding
Applications for the Stevenson College Student Research Project Funding (SRPF) will be considered in the following areas: 1) academic research; 2) creative initiatives; 3) artistic endeavors; and 4) public events of benefit to one or more colleges or to the campus community. Both individual and collective efforts are encouraged. These funds are available to Stevenson College Students only. Student Project Funds for registered student organization projects should be directed to Core Council Funding through Student Organization Advising & Resources (SOAR).
Funding for individual projects can be matching, partial, or full, depending on merit, funds available, and other funding sources. Proposals will be accepted only from registered undergraduate students, and will be judged competitively in terms of merit. In making awards, efforts will be made to maximize the number of students who may benefit from these limited funds. Additionally, the extent to which a project will benefit a college or the University community will be considered. Awards will be granted Quarterly. All applications must be submitted to the Provost Office.
There are no deadlines for Student Research Project Funding submission. We accept and evaluate project submissions through out each quarter.
